You may have heard Wilmington, New York is home to the Blueprint for Athletes Wilmington Whiteface MTB on June 3, but there are plenty of other activities to enjoy in the area during your visit. Read up on some of the top attractions to see before or after the race.

Adirondack Wildlife Refuge
Wolves, foxes, bobcats, several birds of prey and more live at theAdirondack Wildlife Refuge, located on 50 acres along with West Branch of the Ausable River. Hike the one-mile trail along the river and through the meadows to see the animal enclosures and speak to the friendly, knowledgeable staff on the way.

Ausable Chasm
Appropriately named the Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks, Ausable Chasm is comprised of amazing waterfalls and distinct rock formations. Visitors are welcome to float, climb and hike one of the country’s oldest natural attractions on guided tours or solo adventures.

Ausable River
Catch some of the nation’s best fly fishing action in the Ausable River. Perfect for beginners to experts, the river hosts a quality trout population living in a large amount of easily accessible pocket water.
